Making an Impact…

Hard work pays off…however are you making an impact? Yes the old adage that hard work pays off is true – but my question to you is does anyone recognize all the hard work you are doing? Think about it, you work long hours, you’re trying to get ahead and you think everyone around you should know what you’re doing – they should see how hard you’re working right? But what if no one is taking notice, and if they aren’t why? Trust me it can happen and maybe they didn’t notice because all you’re hard work because you’re not making it known and ultimately it’s not making an impact.

Now there’s a fine line between the two. So, how do you make an impact? You make it known AND you make sure that it aligns with your companies priorities & goals. What is it about the work that you’re doing that’s moving your organizations goals forward? If you don’t know that you need to! So here’s some tips to think about:

(1) Get up close and personal with your organization’s goals – know the companies missions statement.

(2) Understand how what YOU and all those hours of hard work aligns with the goals & the missions.

(3) Be able to communicate that effectively with your leadership team.

Trust me – if you follow those 3 things you will be on your way, to making an impact every day!
